PADI Tec 50
The PADI TecRec 50 course is the final course of the Tec Deep Curriculum before you consider continuing onto Timix diving and going below the depths you can breath just Air. During the Tec 50 course you will enhance all skills you have learnt in the Tec Rec system so far and increase your training with a few more drills.
The theory is very similar to your Tec 45 program starting with Gear configurations, planning missions and planning your dives using 2 decompression gases.
Once the theory is out of the way and we have planned the first simulated decompression dive it is time to head to the pool or limited open water dive site for our first simulated Technical Training Dive.
On the first dive you will have 4 tanks and practice all previously learnt skills and drills, we will execute a simulated decompression dive planned to 50m. You will be doing gas switches with 2 decompression gases, gas shut down drills, out of gas scenarios, redundant buoyancy use, staging cylinders in separate locations and much more.
The second dive is a simulated decompression dive to practice the previously learnt skills in an open water environment without the depth but with all the tanks and equipment you will be using on your final 2 dives.
The last 2 dives of the PADI Tec 50 Course are actual decompression dives to 50m using EANX and Oxygen to accelerate your decompression. For these dives you will plan and lead the team to execute a technical diving mission at 50m.
Do you have what it takes to become a Tec 50 diver?
