9 Months ago I had never dived in my life.

I decided to stop being so comfortable with my 9-5 office job and drop myself in at the deep end. I found out through a friend about the DIPSI (Diploma In Professional Scuba Instruction) Course with Auckland Scuba and decided to take a look into it. To start off with Auckland Scuba conducted a try dive with me to see if I liked it and ever since them I have been hooked!!!

I have come to the realisation over the past year that I wanted to help others people experience this amazing feeling and what it’s like to dive into the underwater world. From PADI Open Water to PADI Advanced Open Water to PADI Rescue Diver, PADI Divemaster then onto becoming a PADI Instructor I have never looked back or had any regrets about joining the DIPSI course with Auckland Scuba.

It’s not just a dive experience they offer at Auckland Scuba, they have taught us all a whole new realm of knowledge, leadership, team work, character building and life skills. The DIPSI group I was fortunate enough to be a part of were great, we all got along and shared so many amazing moment that I will personally remember for the rest of my life. We supported each other through thick and thin and now we are more like a family of brothers and sisters than just class mates.

The Auckland Scuba staff, really have gone above and beyond for us, providing knowledge and support throughout the entire program. They don’t just tick the boxes for you to pass a course or pass an Instructor Exam they really teach you life lessons about scuba diving and dealing with students in real time scenarios. They really want you to achieve your best and become the best possible PADI Instructor you can be. The motivation and passion that has rubbed off on me over the past 9 months really is incredible.

Some parts of the course are really challenging and put you outside of your comfort zone but the satisfaction you get from completing the challenges is really what pushed me forwards with a positive mind-set. The enjoyment and satisfaction I have gained from completing the course massively outweighs the struggle and the quality of education provided at Auckland Scuba, I would describe as world class.

The Friendships, the wreck trips, boat dives, shore dives, night dives, poor knights and everything in between has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life. If you have thought about a change in career, DON’T HESITATE. Contact Auckland Scuba now and change your life doing a career that you will love.
